FernleyNews.com is not a big conglomerate news site. We are a rural Nevada community news and media site that has a global reach. We've been online since 2005 supplying a one stop shop of sorts featuring daily news ranging from school activities to global catastrophes. We consider ourselves to be the biggest little independent news source in Northern Nevada and have received over a million accesses in 2009 alone.

Many of you living in heavily populated areas may not relate to our challenges.

We created FernleyNews.com because of an influx of residents in the area that demanded more daily news and information that was not being provided by the once a week newspaper.
The credit crunch has not been kind to the weekly printed word and has resulted in even less coverage.
Our continued challenge is to provide even more news and information, not only fill the gaps, but to exceed everyone's expectations of available information.

We've also built in many extraordinary features you would not normally see on regional sites like full length movies and documentaries, community networks, local information guide, tourism information and our Exclusive Local and National syndicated "Video Merchant Gallery" to name a few.

We continue to build and expand and are determined to get ahead of the news instead of behind it.

We present it all in an easy to use format designed for the most inexperienced user to enjoy.

We work with local businesses as well as national small businesses to provide helpful marketing advise, press and a virtual marketplace to network with others and introduce themselves to the community and beyond. The majority of what we do is offered free of charge.

We are not a link farm. We are a news - media and information site located in Northern Nevada. Our readers are worldwide as well as regional and bring in thousands of readers every week.

We have contributing participants in our current round that have 1 link and some that have 20.
